In 2017 Pat asked me to come up with a sleeve for her first album for many years which was called "The Turning Tide" and consisted of tracks that for one reason or another hadn't been released back in the 60s when they were first recorded and I thought of colourising one of my 60s portraits for it

I was asked to go to Vienna where The Buena Vista Social Club were performing at the opera house. It was the most amazing show and afterwards I rushed back-stage to try and capture the moment when the great vocalist Ibrahim Ferrer came off stage to be greeted by Nick Gold the projects Executive Producer and head of World Records

Ibrahim had the most fantastic presence and swaggered with his cane across the stage and was a wonderful subject with a permanent twinkle in his eye

Patrick had wanted a fairground theme and at one point had suggested we shoot at a real fair, but I felt we needed more control and suggested that we hired a fairground ride and he suggested it should be a child's one

Ren Harvieu was just 18 years old when I was asked shoot some portraits to help try and get her a record deal. She has the most amazing voice and looked as though she was going to sign for a major label and was set for stardom when she had the most awful accident which required years of recuperation. In 2020 she released her second album "Revel in the Drama"
