Ian "Stu" Stuart was originally the 6th member of the band but was relegated to solo road manager - he was a wonderful pianist and played on a lot of the band's recordings.

The concerts were regularly stopped by fans invading the stage and security getting into a panic - this motorcycle cop is about to throw me off the stage but I was able to persuade him that I was with the band!

Bill had this very individual way of holding his bass guitar with the neck virtually upright and when I asked him how it came about, he said it was to shade his eyes so that he could see the girls in the front row.......
